SafeRTOS for Industry

We're pleased to present the second of a series of market specific newsletters to help you in your industry. Developing an industrial application? Contact us.

SafeRTOS for Industrial Applications

Choose SafeRTOS for a responsive, robust, deterministic RTOS. SafeRTOS and the Design Assurance Pack were initially certified against the safety standard IEC 61508 to Safety Integrity Level 3, the highest level possible for a software only product, in 2007 by TÜV SÜD.

IEC 61508 is a generic Industrial safety standard supporting the design, development and operation of electrical, electronic, and programmable electronic systems. Different industries (see figure) have created their own sector specific standards based on IEC 61508.

ARM TechCon 2015

There were some great speakers at ARM TechCon, Santa Clara, this year. We sent a senior level team including Andrew Longhurst, our Business Development Manager, Dave Vandenberg, our Head of US Sales, and Richard Barry, our Head of Innovation and the creator of FreeRTOS.

Talks we thought really stood out:

  • Designing Security and Trust into Connected Devices
  • Innovation is Thriving in Semiconductors
  • Use cases for ARM TrustZone Benefits of HW-Enforced Partitioning and OS Separation

Missed us in Santa Clara? Contact us today to discuss how we can help you.

SafeRTOS Demos

New SafeRTOS demos are available for the Freescale MPC5674F and the Microchip dsPIC33. The Freescale Power Architecture® MCU is ideal for medical devices and industrial safety-critical applications. Microchip's 16-bit dsPIC® Digital Signal Controllers provide designers with an easy upgrade path from 8-bit PIC® microcontrollers and a cost effective option to 32-bit MCUs.
