WITTENSTEIN high integrity systems (WHIS) GB Bristol, the Group’s centre of excellence for high integrity and safety critical embedded systems design, hosted Dr. Manfred Wittenstein and CEO Dr. Bertram Hoffmann last Monday, to review exciting future plans for the company.

Since 2007 WHIS have focused on supplying their world renowned RTOS, SAFERTOS® to a wide variety of market sectors. From Industrial devices such as sensors and industrial control systems to Medical applications such as infusion pumps and endoscopes. The largest market for WHIS is the Automotive Market, supplying software to some of the biggest names in the industry. More recently, WHIS have entered the Aerospace market, with upcoming attendance at the Farnborough Air Show alongside WITTENSTEIN motion control.

Now, after a period of rapid growth, WHIS welcomed Dr. Wittenstein – first visit after around 20 years – and Dr. Hoffmann – visiting WHIS regularly in the last years – to discuss with both the company’s future and planned move to a new office location. Dr. Wittenstein and Dr. Hoffmann celebrating the success that WHIS has achieved so far and the potential that new space will facilitate. The support of such key members of WITTENSTEIN was greatly appreciated. All WHIS employees enjoyed the opportunity to meet Dr. Wittenstein and Dr. Hoffmann and discuss their current projects during a tour of the offices.

WHIS Managing Director, Andrew Longhurst, was presented with a very special token of appreciation. He and his management team were recognized for all their hard work with a small version of the WITTENSTEIN logo sculpture that stands proudly outside the Innovation Centre in Harthausen. During the unveiling, as Dr. Hoffmann unwrapped the sculpture from its beautiful wooden WITTENSTEIN branded box, Mr. Longhurst was reminded that it was to sit on his desk in the new WHIS office building to much amusement.
