Embedded Software Engineer

We are looking for the very best engineers to join our team at WITTENSTEIN high integrity systems.

You will be part of our group of experts working to advance our portfolio of embedded software products including our safety critical real time operating system SAFERTOS®. You will be developing projects for our customers, ranging from small dynamic start-ups to some of the world’s most prestigious global technology companies.

Minimum Education Standard

  • Degree in an Engineering/Science/Maths subject

Required Experience and Expertise

  • Real Time Operating Systems, ideally in FreeRTOS, OPENRTOS®, SAFERTOS® and/or Linux;
  • C and assembler;
  • Embedded Systems Design.

Highly Desirable Additional Skills and Experience

  • ARM, MIPS and Power Architectures;
  • Experience of using Real Time Operating Systems, ideally FreeRTOS or SAFERTOS®
  • Low level embedded engineering experience – ie working at processor level – Cortex M3, M4, A7
  • Safety Software Development to standards: IEC 61508, DO 178B/C, ISO26262, IEC 61508, IEC 62304
  • Networking – TCP, UDP
  • Embedded software security
  • Multicore devices
